NSEIX और London Stock Exchange ने capital market ties मजबूत करने के लिए MoU साइन किया
New Delhi में 14 October को NSE IFSC Limited ( NSEIX ) और London Stock Exchange plc ने एक Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU ) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। यह समझौता दोनों jurisdictions के issuers और investors के लिए cross-border growth तथा innovative listing और trading opportunities को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से किया गया है।
इस bilateral agreement के माध्यम से दोनों bourses ने multiple financial market segments में commercial opportunities तलाशने के लिए एक broad framework तैयार किया है। इस arrangement के तहत equity, fixed income, और exchange-traded funds ( ETFs ) सहित विभिन्न products में dual और cross-listings का मूल्यांकन करने पर सहमति बनी है।

financial market segments में collaboration के लिए agreement
इस partnership के तहत existing financial instruments की trading के अलावा नए offerings तैयार करने की योजना भी बनाई गई है। इस initiative में NSEIX पर listed ऐसे derivative contracts को prospective rollout करना शामिल है जो underlying benchmark के रूप में FTSE Russell indices को refer करते हैं।
दोनों entities ने नए equity indices का joint creation, cross-border trading connectivity, और market data distribution की जांच करने पर भी सहमति व्यक्त की है। V. Balasubramaniam जो NSEIX के Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer हैं, उन्होंने इस agreement को wider bilateral economic dialogues से निकला एक significant milestone बताया है।
bilateral economic dialogues और India-UK CETA का प्रभाव
V. Balasubramaniam ने बताया कि इस collaboration के बीज The India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement ( CETA ) से उत्पन्न हुए हैं, जिसका उद्देश्य London और India के बीच capital markets connectivity और financial services integration में नए रास्ते खोलना है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस partnership से दोनों financial centers के बीच एक initial operational bridge स्थापित होता है जिससे investor participation और market depth में विस्तार होगा।
उन्होंने यह भी उल्लेख किया कि LSEG और NSEIX ने dual listings, cross listings और cross-border connect के माध्यम से सहयोग की ओर यह पहला कदम उठाया है ताकि seamless bidirectional trading opportunities मिल सकें जिससे higher liquidity और larger pool of investors प्राप्त हो सकें। उन्होंने कहा कि GIFT IFSC ecosystem में market leader होने के नाते NSEIX और United Kingdom का सबसे बड़ा और सबसे पुराना Stock Exchange होने के नाते London Stock Exchange एक-दूसरे की ताकतों का लाभ उठा सकते हैं।
London Stock Exchange की तरफ से प्रतिक्रिया
British side से इस development का स्वागत करते हुए Dame Julia Hoggett जो London Stock Exchange plc की Chief Executive Officer और LSEG में Head of Digital and Securities Markets हैं, उन्होंने London के international partnership network पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि London Stock Exchange के पास दुनिया भर के exchanges के साथ collaborative partnerships बनाने का strong track record है।
उन्होंने कहा कि established capital ecosystems को जोड़ने के उनके निरंतर प्रयासों में इस MoU पर हस्ताक्षर करना अगला कदम है ताकि उनके द्वारा सेवा दिए जाने वाले investors और companies के लिए tangible benefits पैदा किए जा सकें।
